Job Summary:
|
|
The manufacturing trainer will train new and existing employees on all manufacturing processes, safety and regulatory requirements.
|
|
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
|
|
- Develop, implement and manage cost effective learning solutions in support of the Manufacturing Training strategic objectives and to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop, plan and manage training sessions and learning labs focusing on a wide variety of topics.
- Provide, document, and maintain, training for all manufacturing personnel on matters including but not limited to: new hire orientation, department and facility specific training.
- Provide support to the Manufacturing Department in the form of job training for Operators.
- Ensure the effectiveness of training through training metrics, mentoring, and formal certifications.
- Execute training at various skill levels for department and interdepartmental personnel in coordination with Department Management.
- Training including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training, process training, and general on-the-job training sessions.
- Generate, maintain and monitor training and competency records and databases for department personnel, ensuring that regulatory requirements for documentation are met.
- Coordinate with management/supervisory personnel to develop and implement new training techniques, cross-train employees and maintain consistency concerning training documentation and procedures.
- Assist the department with the maintenance of departmental Quality Management programs.
- Ensure compliance of the training program/records.
- Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of technical training.
- Report on progress of employees during training periods
- Deliver OJT training courses in the areas of manufacturing skills and processes, quality system/cGMP practices and requirements, information technology tools, and other subjects as required.
- Assess employee skills and provide feedback to management. Ensure compliance to quality system regulations for areas of responsibility and training for production operations.
- Become a recognized expert in technical areas and including competencies to answer a wide range of questions regarding Manufacturing processes
- Maintain and generate all Manufacturing personnel records of training activities, on-the-job training records, and certifications
- Communicate daily with manager of progress and associate feedback
- Teaches and models technical skills, concepts, resources and tools
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Standard Work (SW) and Work Instructions (WI’s)
- Arrange and coordinate room set-up, availability of materials and audio/visual equipment.
- Administer and collect class evaluation forms and assessments.
- Conduct follow-up sessions and monitor progress of trainees.
- Onboarding new employee by being a mentor and point of contact for questions.
- Work with existing employee who wish to learn additional skills or need help or “retraining”.
- Prepare new hire packets and coordinate with the crew peer coach for training plan.
- Update the skills progression matrix and identify gaps in critical skills required to have fully trained crews.
- Conduct after action review of all new hires before training is completed and assigned to their crew.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
|
|
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, or similar environment/industry with a focus on safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all employees at all levels.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to influence others
- Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations required
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and preferably PowerPoint.
- Ability to present training course material to individuals and groups and to effectively facilitate their learning process
- Provide both support in the training department and with manufacturing production
- Ability to seek and utilize varied resources.

Work Hours & Schedule:
|
|
The Manufacturing Trainer will be expected to work 40 hours per week and is a salaried position. Extenuating circumstances may require additional time for certain periods. It is widely assumed that displacement of hours and/or days will occur on recurring and a non-patterned basis. This position requires the ability and willingness to work from the Stroudsburg, Bangor and Wind Gap, PA facilities.
