Job Summary:

The Operation Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance on all non-process equipment, utilities and outside equipment for all BioSpectra facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports to HVAC/Plumbing Manager to discuss goals, objectives and any issues that arise during the performance of their tasks
• Perform preventative maintenance on operation designated equipment
• Performs work orders as assigned
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician
• Performs daily walkthrough in accordance with equipment checklist
• Creates part lists to be submitted to the manager for review
• Complies with company and industry safety standards
• Interacts with other trades to ensure effective communication for the execution of all projects
• Assists maintenance department with qualified processes and related equipment
• Provides support in the qualification of new processes and related equipment
• Assists other operation employees as needed
• Maintains good housekeeping practices
• Wears appropriate PPE for the duties being performed
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; or at least three years of experience via on-the-job training is a plus
• Ability to understand directions, equipment manuals and SOP’s
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade
• Work well as part of a team
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to learn cGMP and Safety programs

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 55 lbs
• Climb ladders and/or stairs
• Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach, and kneel throughout shift
• Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods
• Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
• Repeating motion that may include arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
• Ability to see and distinguish color
• Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation

Work Hours & Schedule:

• Non-Exempt Position
• Minimum of 8 Hour Shift, 5 Days a Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule
• Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities
